KOCHI: Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar will flag off the Spice Coast Marathon 2017, organised by Kochi Corporation under the aegis of Soles of Cochin, District Tourism Promotion Council and Kochi Metro Rail Limited, to be held on November 12. The running course of the IDBI Federal Life Insurance Spice Coast Marathon will be through the most picturesque parts of Kochi.
“The event will have three race categories--Full Marathon (42.2 km), Half Marathon (21.1 km) and Family Fun Run (8km). We are expecting participation of more than 8,000 persons”, said Mayor Soumini Jain while addressing a press conference. The marathon aims at spreading awareness on 'say no to plastic', added Ms. Jain.
