Hyderabad: Telangana’s Deepthi ran hard with top focus as she left her other opponents behind to bag the gold medal in the 100 metre race in the 33rd National Junior Athletics Championships at the Acharya Nagarjuna University in Manglagiri near Vijayawada on Saturday. In the 100 metres race, Deepthi clocked 12.63 second to leave Sowmya (12.75 seconds) and Anju Joseph behind who finished second and third best respectively. This is Telangana’s second gold medal from the championship.
The results Girls 100 metre: 1. Deepthi (12.63 seconds), 2. Sowmya (12.71), 3. Anju Joseph (12.75).
