TCS World 10K run: Baahubali steals the show

From LGBT rights to environmental causes, it was all well represented.

There seems to be no limit to the imagination in the people of Bengaluru. Costumes and placards have always been part of the Majja Run but it seemed like that citizens went the extra mile this time around as they came in droves with brightly coloured clothes and catchy slogans to get their message across to the public.

From LGBT rights to environmental causes, it was all well represented.
Noble as those were, perhaps the one that stole the show though was the Baahubali costume. A decision that saw queries of whether it’s from the first movie or the second one come from all directions. Answering them alone would have been tiresome.

Canine spectators
There are lots of things that have become part of the tradition during the 10K runs and marathons in Bengaluru. But on Sunday, in a major buck to the old ways, the dogs on the street showed little interest in chasing the runners.
Over the years, the canine chase had become a routine sight during such events but there was no such interference this time around despite their abundant presence along the course.

Perhaps they have learnt to respect the sport. Or they were too lethargic following the heavy downpour and the moody climate. Whatever it maybe, the dogs chose to play the role of the slightly piqued spectators this time around. A welcome change there!
