The city geared up early morning, and gathered at the scenic circle of Necklace Road, bubbling with enthusiasm. Over 15,000 fitness enthusiasts took part in the Freedom Hyderabad 10k Run painting the town in shades of orange and green. The run kick-started with an energetic zumba and warm-up session which not only saw the kids and adults but also senior citizens having a great time!
Tollywood celebrities, Tamannaah, Rashi Khanna, Navdeep and Sandeep Kishan flagged off the first run and added the oomph factor to the otherwise sporty event! The first batch of runners for the 10k marathon were flagged off at 6:15 am followed by the flag off for the 5k run at 6:45 am.

The dedication to participate in the Freedom Hyderabad 10k Run reflected in Seema and her family, who specially flew down from the capital city and won big! Seema, the first female winner won a whopping Rs 1 lakh while her mother-in-law, Chandrakala won the second prize in the Super Veteran category. “I didn’t know I could do this, but now I believe in myself,” she shared.

With headphones tucked into their ears, blasting their favourite music, the marathoners were seen thoroughly enjoying their sweat-out session.
Bhavesh and Manisha Dave, a city-based couple, were the picture-perfect example of sportsman spirit. As people — youngsters and senior citizens alike – slowed down around the enthusiastic couple, held their hands and encouraged co-runners to not give up!
