Hyderabad: The Vizag team bagged the trophy in the Omega Fleet as Overall Winning Team in the Deloitte Monsoon Regatta concluded here at the Hussainsagar lake on Sunday.
Vaishnavai of Yatch Club of Hyderabad and Gagan of Trishna Sailing Club continued their fine run to emerge champions and bag trophies in the Optimist Green Fleet category.
Meanwhile, in the Main Fleet, Nithya Balachander and R. Neelanand both from Tamil Nadu Sailing Association too did well to lift the trophies.
Tanishq Desai who was adjudged as the Youngest Skipper. The Regatta had a total of 93 entries in two different claases — Optimist and Omega. The Omega Class of boats were sailed in the Americas Cup format, and the Young under 16 sailors sailed in the Optimist Class of boats.
