Hyderabad: Former cricketer and commentator Ravi Shastri is celebrating his 62 birthday today and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has released a special video wishing the legend.
The veteran player has appeared in 80 test matches and 150 ODIs and scored nearly 7000 runs.
Most of the young cricketing fans know the player as a top commentator, whose voice is heard in almost all the important matches in the history of Indian cricket.
On the micro-blogging site 'X', the BCCI posted a special video to wish Ravi Shastri on his birthday, in the video snippets of Shastri's iconic commentary work along with other commentators- Sunil Gavaskar, Matthew Hayden, Kevin Pietersen and Harsha Bhogle, who look to imitate his energy and style.
The video was captioned, "Not a toss update but… 😉 …one legendary and energetic birthday wish for one legendary individual, from his fellow commentators 🤗 Wishing a Happy Birthday to the legendary Mr. Ravi Shastri 😎🎂"
Many fans and cricketers also wished the legendary commentator on his special day.
