Kurnool: District collector G. Srijana directed officials to start mandal-level competitions from January 10, marking the next phase of the Aadudam Andhra sports initiative in the district. Emphasizing the conclusion of competitions at the Sachivalayam level, the collector underscored the importance of finalizing schedules for the upcoming mandal-level competitions.
In ensuring the well-being of participating athletes, the collector instructed the distribution of T-shirts and caps to all competitors during the zonal-level competitions.
She also emphasized the necessity of providing essential amenities, including drinking water facilities, at all sports grounds hosting the competitions. Beyond the sports events, the Collector mandated the organisation of Jan Bhagidari programmes in every village and ward secretariat until the 11th of this month. These programmes are to be conducted under the supervision of Panchayat Secretaries in Gram Sachivalayam and admin secretaries in Ward Sachivalayam offices.
Rallies are also to be organised as part of these initiatives and the Collector further directed the coordination of programmes in colleges and schools.
