Hyderabad: A sports event is set to be organised by Ordnance Factory Medak (OFM), a constituent production unit of Armoured Vehicles Nigam Limited (AVNL), at Sarath stadium between September 15 and 17. The event will be inaugurated by Sanjay Dwivedi, IOFS, in the presence of WWA, AVNL chairperson Rashmi Dwivedi and OFM’s chief general manager K. Sudhakar. The event will comprise hockey, badminton and volleyball, in which players and delegates from all the establishments of AVNL — HVF Avadi, EFA Avadi, MTPT Ambernath and VFJ Jabalpur will participate.
The inter-unit participation will revitalise sports activities, which had ‘become dormant due to the pandemic’ and promote spirit de corps in the AVNL group', according to a notice released on Tuesday. It added that it will set a shining example for the other DPUs to enhance inter-organisational bonding through sports.
