Pakistan's Babar Azam overtakes Virat Kohli

Hyderabad: Pakistan captain and opening batter Babar Azam had surpassed team India's star batter Virat Kohli to be the leading run scorer in men's T20 internationals.

On Thursday, Pakistan took on the United States in a T20 World Cup match at the Grand Prairie Stadium in Texas. Despite losing the game, Babar Azam scored 44 runs to be the top scorer for his side. With this innings he overtook Virat Kohli and became the leading run getter in T20 internationals.
Currently, Babar Azam with 4,067 runs in 113 innings is leading the list, followed by Virat Kohli with 4,038 in 110 innings. Rohit Sharma, who recently joined the 4000 runs club with his brilliant performance in the match against Ireland is at the third spot with 4,026 runs.
Arch rivals India and Pakistan will go head-to-head on Sunday in a group stage World Cup match at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York. Incidentally, all the three players with more than 4,000 runs in International T20s will be playing in the match.
