Hyderabad: Team India star batter Virat Kohli and new head coach Gautam Gambhir were seen engaging in a long conversation during the practice session on Wednesday ahead of the first ODI with Sri Lanka.
Photos and videos from the practice session were put out on social media by the BCCI, where the duo were seen having a good time.
There was a big debate after Gambhir taking over the head coach role on how the two will cope up given their history. Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir had a couple of heated encounters during their outings for their IPL franchises.
However, both Virat and Gambhir said they'll work as a team and for the good of the team. Gambhir in his first press conference after taking the new job said "his relationship with Virat Kohli is between them and not for TRPs."
Meanwhile, reacting to the pictures shared by BCCI, the official Instagram handle of the Rajasthan Royals did something hilarious. They incorporated the famous trend 'Cheen tapak dum dum' meme to the pics.
