Hyderabad: Before the start of every match we see the players huddling and the captain delivering a message to motivate the team. But what did Rohit Sharma say during the pep talk that pumped up the Indian side to win a thrilling final. Here is what Suryakumar Yadav told the media.
According to Suryakumar Yadav, Rohit during the pep talk said, "Keep it simple, but I can't climb this mountain alone. If I have to reach the peak, I will need everyone's oxygen." "Bring your best game to the final." Rohit said.
"He (Rohit) didn't let us think of too far, he told us to focus on the present only. Rohit worked so hard for so many years, he showed us the way we need to play this format," Suryakumar added.
Sky, as he is popularly known, told the media after the final that "the team felt to deliver for this man (Rohit) because players know he'll back them when the situation comes and they wanted to do it for the confidence that he shows on players."
Meanwhile, a video of Rohit's reaction to Suryakumar Yadav match-winning catch is going viral on Social media, where the Indian captain gets nervous after the hit by Miller but thrills after the superb catch by Suryakumar. The World Champions are likely to arrive in the country tomorrow in a special Air India flight that has reached Barbados early on Wednesday.
