After winning their first opening fixture of Super 8s, Team India will now face Bangladesh in the second match of Group 1 super eight phase of the T20 World Cup 2024 at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua on Saturday.
In their last matches, India defeated Afghanistan by 47 runs, while Bangladesh lost to Australia by 28 runs (DLS method).
Players to watch out
India: When it comes to batting, Suryakumar Yadav, Rishabh Pant and Rohit Sharma are the players that need to be watched out. Suryakumar Yadav and Rishabh Pant stitched good partnerships when the team lost the opening pair of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. Skipper Rohit Sharma hasn't put up a good show in this tournament except one innings where he scored 52, but we know he is capable of scoring big.
When it comes to bowling, Arshdeep Singh and Jasprit Bumrah are the bowlers that need to be watched out. Both the bowlers have helped the team to win matches in the tournaments. Arshdeep and Bumrah have picked 10 and 8 wickets respectively in this tournament.
Bangladesh: In batting, Towhid Hridoy and Shakib Al Hasan are the key Bangladeshi players. When it comes to bowling, Tanzim Hasan Sakib and Rishad Hossain are the players to look out. Tanzim and Rishad have taken 9 wickets each.
