India will take on Bangladesh in the Group 1 Super eight match of the T20 World Cup 2024 at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua on Saturday.
India showed a good performance in their opening super eight match fixture against Afghanistan, winning by 47 runs, whereas Bangladesh was defeated by Australia by 28 runs (DLS method) in their opening campaign.
Team India's middle order is putting up good show, helping the team to chase as well as put up good targets on board. Skipper Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are yet to fire in this tournament. The openers had good starts, but they failed to turn them into good knocks. They have to click as an opening pair ahead of the crucial matches.
Bangladesh has put up a good show winning three league stage matches to qualify for super 8s in this tournament but lost to Australia in their Super 8 opening match.
India has the upper hand in today's match against Bangladesh. Men in Blue has been performing well in both the departments, batting and bowling. The less experienced batters have been standing up for the team, when the opening pair of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli gets out. Bowlers are also putting up a great show, helping the team even to defend small totals.
