Hyderabad: After avenging the 2022 T20 World Cup semi-final loss against England, team India's management had decided to rest its players before the important finals against South Africa on Saturday.
Team India are set to travel to Barbados (venue for the final) in a charter flight on Friday and have canceled the practice session, said the International Cricket Council (ICC).
Meanwhile, South Africa team members had a bitter experience on their way to Barbados as they were left stranded for hours at the Trinidad airport due to a landing issue. However, the Proteas will hold an optional training session on Friday, said the ICC.
Both teams will look to put their best foot forward, as it is South Africa's best shot to lift a World Trophy and for the men-in-blue an opportunity to end their ICC trophy drought.
