Hyderabad: Hyderabad’s Sanjana Sirimalla started her campaign on a winning note in the Raja Narsimha Rao Memorial ITF Juniors Grade-4 Under 18 Boys & Girls Tennis Tournament being organised by the Telangana State Tennis Association at the SATS Tennis Complex at Lal Bahadur Stadium in Hyderabad.
Sanjana defeated countrywoman Raina Zaffar in straight sets, with a 6-2, 6-0 scoreline.
Sandeepti Singh Rao was another easy victor. The eighth seed stormed past Veda Raju Prapurna 6-1, 6-0. At the other end of the scale was Malikaa Marathe who beat Ishita Singh with a 7-5, 7-5 scoreline.
