Allu Arjun gets relief

The Nampally court relaxes actor’s bail terms and grants permission to travel abroad

In a significant development in the Pushpa 2 stampede case, the Nampally Court in Hyderabad has granted several relaxations to the bail conditions of Telugu superstar Allu Arjun, who was earlier arrested in connection with the incident.

Allu Arjun is reportedly no longer required to appear at the Chikkadpally police station every Sunday. The exemption was granted after his legal team cited security concerns.

The Court has also now permitted the actor to travel abroad.

For those unfamiliar with the case, he is facing legal trouble following a tragic stampede at the Pushpa 2 premiere, which led to the death of a woman and left her son critically injured. Things had turned chaotic when the actor stepped out of his car to greet fans, resulting in the unfortunate incident. The injured boy continues to be in hospital.

Allu Arjun was arrested on December 13 and presented before the Nampally Court, which initially placed him under 14-day judicial custody. He was granted interim bail for four weeks on a personal bond of `50,000. His custody ended on December 27, after which he appeared in Court via video conference. No ruling was made at the time, and the next hearing was postponed to December 30, then further rescheduled to January 3, when he was granted regular bail.

The Nampally court exempted him from appearing at the Chikkadapally police station every Sunday. His counsel requested an exemption from this rule, citing security concerns. The court has also granted him permission to travel abroad
