Bugatti Chiron, $2.7M
This two-seater sports car is mid-engined and manufactured and developed in France. The car is named after the Monegasque driver Louis Chiron. It has a carbon fibre body structure along with an independent suspension. For the rich and adventurous adrenaline junkies, this is surely an apt car. This powerhouse is a dream to drive, with fluid steering, seamless handling and enormous power under the hood. Topping out at 420 kmph, the Chiron speeds from 0-60 in a mere 2.5 seconds, thanks to an eight litre, 16-cylinder engine pumping out 1,479 horsepower.
Lykan Hypersport, $3.4M
This car is unique in terms of its transmission, suspension and look. At a whopping price the Lykan HyperSport was the third most expensive car at the time of its production. The HyperSport is the first car to have headlights with embedded jewels; they contain titanium LED blades with 420 diamonds. The Lykan HyperSport is equipped with forged aluminium wheels with diametres of 19 inches at the front and 20 inches at the rear. The brakes are ventilated ceramic composite discs, with a diameter of 380mm each and utilising six-piston aluminium callipers at the front and rear.
Aston Martin One-77, $1.4M
There was a limited run of 77 cars, forming part of the name One-77. This machine can do wonders. With a cost that can only be afforded by a mega-rich customer’s wallet, and an engine that produces one of the highest speed records, this car will definitely turn heads. Employing the classic formula of double wishbones at each corner, the One-77 features inboard suspension front and rear, with pushrods employed to transfer vertical suspension movements to the horizontally mounted spring/damper units. A practice taken directly from racing car designs, the body of this car is truly unique.
Lamborghini Veneno Roadster, $4.5M
The model name comes — according to the old Lamborghini tradition — from a Spanish fighting bull named Veneno, who killed the torero José Sánchez Rodríguez in 1914 during a bullfight in the arena of Sanlúcar de Barrameda. This monster produces speed beyond belief. This car is limited to nine worldwide. In terms of performance, the roadster corresponds to the coupe, but for the sprint from 0 to 100 km/h, the cabriolet requires 2.9 seconds to be four tenths of a second longer than the closed variant. The main reason for this is the higher weight. The Veneno Roadster has no roof.
F12 Berlinetta, $2.5M
This car has been produced by the Italian sports car manufacturer Ferrari. It is based on the most powerful GT car that Ferrari currently sells, the F12 Berlinetta. The 6.3-litre carries on unchanged, but visually the car has received a very thorough overhaul.
A notable feature is the aero bridge, an air channel running from the bonnet, through the flanks and along the sides of the vehicle, creating an effect that increases down force. Another feature is active brake cooling ducts, which open to direct cooling air only when the brakes are hot, keeping them closed at other times to reduce aerodynamic drag.
