Ajith Kumar unhurt in mishap on racing tracks
Actor Ajith Kumar escaped unhurt after his car spun out of control during a practice session for the upcoming Dubai 24H racing event on Tuesday.
Videos circulating widely on social media capture dramatic visuals of the car spinning multiple times before coming to a stop after hitting a wall. The Porsche 992 suffered visible damage.
Ajith, who is returning to competitive racing after nearly a decade, walked away unharmed. Medical staff examined him following the incident.
Fabian Duffieux, a member of the Ajith Kumar Racing team, provided an update on social media alongside photos. “Test day 1 done. Ajith is safe, without a scratch, and that’s the most important,” he wrote. The caption talks of learning that never ends, and the team’s readiness to deal with everything as a family.
Ajith’s manager, Suresh Chandra, offered additional details about the incident. “There’s nothing to worry about. Ajith sir is unhurt. He is fit and fine. He was driving at a speed of 180 km when this happened.” He added that Ajith would resume practice on January 8th.
The Dubai 24H race is scheduled to commence on January 11.
