Akshay’s Dance Closes ‘Wheel of Fortune’ on a ‘High’
The actor’s performance in women’s high-heeled footwear is winning hearts
Akshay Kumar’s dance in women’s high heels in response to a ‘dare’ at the finale of The Wheel Of Fortune has left his fans super impressed. The closing episode of the show featured actresses Jacqueline and Bhumi Pednekar and choreographer-filmmaker Farah Khan.
It all began with Jacqueline daring Akshay to wear heels and dance for one minute. Akshay promptly rose to the challenge, and danced to “Laal Pari” from his film Housefull 4. After the stipulated minute was over, Farah applauded him and even bowed to him. And the fact that the high heels broke mid-performance added another layer of humour to the finale.
After he had completed his ‘task,’ Akshay said, “Saari aurton ko salaam hai, kaise pehente ho aap log?” (I salute all women. How do you wear these?) The Internet was flooded with appreciation for his confidence and willingness to try something new. This is not the first time that Akshay has dared to explore the ‘feminine’ side of his persona. Some years ago, he did a photoshoot wearing a nose ornament.
