There has been widespread concern over Vishal’s health after he was seen requiring assistance to reach the stage during the recent pre-release event of his upcoming film Madha Gaja Raja, and the actor’s team has now released an official statement from Apollo Hospitals, saying he was only suffering from viral fever.
Vishal was visibly exhausted at the event, and his hands trembled noticeably while he spoke on the dais. Video footage from the event quickly circulated online, giving rise to speculation about his health, despite it being clarified at the function itself that the actor had viral fever, but had chosen to be present despite that.
The statement from Apollo Hospitals gives the diagnosis, prescribes the treatment and advises complete bed rest.
Director Sundar C, Khushbu Sundar and Vijay Antony also attended the event.
The film was completed 12 years ago but was delayed due to financial constraints. It has been scheduled for release on January 12, 2025.
Madha Gaja Raja features Anjali and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar as female leads, with Sonu Sood as the antagonist. The supporting cast includes Santhanam, Rajhendran, Nitin Satya, and the late actors Manobala and Manivannan. The film, produced by Gemini Films with music by Vijay Antony, is being promoted as an action entertainer for the Pongal festival.
Reportedly, the Telugu version of the movie will have a deferred release two weeks after Pongal.
