‘Love & War’ to Release in January 2027
Fate of Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana will have a bearing on Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film too
Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s long-awaited Love & War has finally got a release date — it will open on January 21, 2027, three months after Ramayana, also starring Ranbir Kapoor. Significantly, the recently released teaser of Ramayana got a cold reception the world over. A lot now hinges on the way the film itself is received by audiences. If it doesn’t go down well, Love & War is also bound to be affected.
“The stakes are so high for Ramayana. If it falls, it will crush many hopes and expectations,” says producer-filmmaker Vinod Bachchan. Underlining the issue, he adds that it will be very hard for Love & War to live up to expectations if Ramayana doesn’t.
After an unforeseen cancellation, the last lengthy schedule of the love triangle will begin in May and the three principal actors — Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal — will adjust their other commitments to prioritise the Bhansali film’s agenda, says a source.
