Ranbir Keen To Play Raj Kapoor in Biopic

Ranbir is currently busy completing two of his most ambitious projects — Ramayana and Love & War. Thereafter, the actor intends to immerse himself in what could be the most ambitious film of his career so far — a biopic on his grandfather, Raj Kapoor.

Ranbir has always been fascinated by the life and works of Raj Kapoor. In fact, his character in his debut film, Saawariya, was named Raj, a nod to his grandfather.

Early in his career, Ranbir said he would like to portray Raj Kapoor on screen once he had found his footing as an actor. In an earlier conversation, Ranbir’s father, Rishi Kapoor, had said that Ranbir was far better equipped to portray Raj Kapoor than himself.
