Vicky Kaushal’s Prep for His Next Blocked by ‘Love & War’

To play Chiranjeevi Parashurama in director Amar Kaushik’s mythological Mahavatar, Vicky Kaushal must first shed his Love & War look.

With the latter now in its final leg of shooting, Kaushal has begun initial prep for Mahavatar. To embody the larger-than-life mythological figure, he will need to bulk up significantly, grow a long, flowing beard and adopt ascetic traits — including abstaining from meat and alcohol.

The role is, in many ways, the opposite of his part in Love & War, where he plays a loverboy reminiscent of Ranbir Kapoor in Saawariya.
