Apple iOS 18 Release Date Announced
The much awaited iOS 18, iPhones next major software update will be available on September 16.
The iOS 18 will bring a host of new features and several features will be powered by Apple Intelligence. The iPhone update was announced at Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2024 in June.
With the iOS 18, you can customize your home screen, there will be a revamped control centre and Photos app.
In the messages, Tapbacks are redesigned and you can react with emoji or sticker. Now you can schedule your message to send later and also you can express your tone with Text Formatting, bold, italicize, underline and strikethrough any text. A new gaming mode will be coming with the iOS 18.
The iOS 18 will allow the user to record and transcribe phone calls, it will let the other user know that the call is being recorded.
It will bring many features to its users, but few features will be specifically for Indian users. A notable feature is the support for numerals in 12 Indian languages. With iOS 18, users can personalise their contact posters and lock screens with numerals from languages including Arabic, Arabic Indic, Bangla, Devanagari, Gujarati, Gurmukhi, Kannada, Malayalam, Meitei, Odia, Ol Chiki and Telugu.

On September 9, Apple unveiled the iPhone 16 series on September 9 at ‘its glowtime’ event. The company has launched four iPhones - iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max.
Along with the iPhones, Apple also launched the AirPods 4 and Watch Series 10. Users can pre-order the iPhones from September 13 and it will be available from September 20.
