Apple Rolls Out iOS 18.1 Update; Here's What's New
Apple rolled out the iOS 18.1 update on Monday and with the software update, the tech giant released the Apple Intelligence.
The iOS 18.1 comes with call recording and transcription feature, new connectivity controls in control center. natural language support in the App Store and more.
These are the new iOS 18.1 features
Call recording: Now you can record calls and get transcriptions from the calls. After placing a call, you can tap on the record button on the upper left hand which will initiate recording and all the participants will be notified of the call recording.
Camera: For iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max will get the Spatial photo capture. The iPhone 16 has had this feature since launch. In iPhone 16, the Camera Control has the option to swap to the front-facing Truedepth camera with a press and swipe gestures.
AirPods Pro 2: The iOS 18.1 has added new Hearing Health features which lets you to do built-in hearing tests and identify tones to check hearing loss. Based on the hearing test, Apple will tweak music, videos and calls.
Control Center: Apple has added new Connectivity controls in the Control Center for Satellite and AirDrop. New measure and Level controls have been added to the control center.
App Store: The App Store will now support natural language which helps the user to find what they are exactly looking for.
Game Center: Now you can send Game Center invites directly from the Contacts app.
