Elon Musk's X To Close San Francisco Office

Elon Musk's X, formerly known as Twitter, will close its headquarters in San Francisco, where it was founded in 2006. The employee of X would reportedly be relocated to San Jose and Palo Alto.

Musk in a post on X, said, "No choice. It is impossible to operate in San Francisco if you’re processing payments."
"That’s why Stripe, Block (CashApp) & others had to move," he added.
This post came as a response to a New York Times report about an email from CEO of X, Linda Yaccarino to staff, which stated the closure of the office.
This follows Elon Musk’s acquisition of the company in 2022 after which he expressed discontent with San Francisco's cultural and political climate saying that the company is dissatisfied with the city and California state legislation under Governor Gavin Newsom.

In 2022, Musk bought Twitter for $44bn and it saw many changes including job cuts and reducing content moderation. He moved Tesla's headquarters to Texas in 2021.
