The thinnest convertible laptop is here!
Asus on Monday, 29th May at Computex in Taipie announced the launch of the thinnest convertible laptop yet, the ZenBook Flip S. The device is expected to be available in the market later this year, at a starting price of $1,099.
The ZenBook Flip S measures merely 10.9mm, which is way thinner than the MacBookAir which is 17mm and HP Spectre x360 which is 13.9mm. The former is lighter than most, with a weight of about 2.4 pounds. Despite this, the ZenBook Flip S packs Intel’s latest Corei7-7500U processor along with a Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti graphics card and can store 1TB PCIe SSD storage.
The laptop can also be connected to the Asus ROG XG Station 2 external graphics dock. True to its name, the device can be folded all the way around.
The laptop sports a 15.4-inch 4K resolution (3,840 x 2,160 pixels) that is protected by Corning’s Gorilla Glass and support for Windows Ink and comes with an optional Asus Pen.
Other features that the device is equipped with are a tiny fingerprint sensor for one-touch login via Windows Hello and a four-speaker audio system. USB-C port and, support for fast charging. Moreover, the twin USB-C ports support Thunderbolt 3 as well.
