Apple iPhone 16 Lineup to Feature AI Enhancements, New Camera Designs
Apple's upcoming iPhone 16 series, set for a likely September release, is rumored to introduce significant hardware and software upgrades. According to The Verge, the lineup will be optimised for generative AI features under the "Apple Intelligence" suite, enhancing the device's on-device capabilities.
The iPhone 16 Pro models are expected to feature a redesigned camera system, including a new DSLR-like camera button that responds to varying finger pressure for autofocus and photo capture. Larger screens are also anticipated for the Pro variants, with a new camera panel design likely for the base model. Apple’s announcement could come by late August, ahead of the possible September 10 global launch, with the India release expected soon after.
In addition to the AI enhancements and camera upgrades, the iPhone 16 lineup might also see a shift in design elements, such as vertically aligned camera lenses for the base models, reminiscent of the iPhone 11 and 12 series. The Pro models are expected to feature slightly larger displays, with the regular Pro increasing from 6.1 inches to 6.3 inches, and the Pro Max expanding from 6.7 inches to nearly 6.9 inches.
