KTR launches Safe Auto app in Sircilla
WARANGAL: IT minister K.T. Rama Rao on Tuesday launched the Safe Auto App, which has been introduced in Rajanna Sircilla district by police officials for the first time.
Launching the app, Rama Rao appreciated police officials for introducing the app for safety of passengers travelling in autos and cabs.
The app has various details of the vehicle and the driver. Passengers can activate the app in case soon after they board the vehicle or face any trouble during their travel.
Giving details, district superintendent of police Akhil Mahajan said the QR code in the auto or cab has complete details of owners of the auto or cab, along with information about the driver or drivers. Passengers have to scan the QR code displayed inside and outside the vehicle. Passengers get three options – emergency call, text message and complaint to lodge.
Passengers can choose any of the three, which triggers the active location of the vehicle at the police command and control centre.
“The Safe Auto app has been designed to ensure that passengers reach their destinations safely,” Akhil Mahajan added.
