Get information on Kerala State School Kalolsavam 2017 via new mobile app

Kozhikode: The participants, organisers and visitors to the Kerala State School Kalolsavam 2017 being held in Kannur from January 16 to 22 will get a full idea about the entire event through a mobile app introduced by the district administration.

Christened ‘Kalolsavam 2017,’ it has been designed and developed by the Mobile App Development Centre of National Informatics Centre in Kannur.

The app will provide the Kalolsavam schedule, accommodation arrangements for the participants, parking areas, contact details, image gallery, events search and other essential information services. The app, which is at present only for Android phones, was developed in cooperation with IT@School project under the department of general education.

"We have planned to give all the live update that come on the website of school Kalolsavam, said Kannur collector Mir Mohammed Ali. The mobile app will have the broad categories of 'HS General,' 'HS Sanskrit,' 'HS Arabic' and 'HSS General.' The live updates of the venues will be provided and the user will get the leader board updates, district-wise and school-wise results, update and status of each event.

Many people have already downloaded the application from Google playstore and we will further develop the app and include many new features such as live streaming, the collector added. "We are identifying those who can sit next to the stage for seven days in shifts and report continuously for the app updation," he said.
