Hyderabad: An app called SOS – Save Our Seniors — was launched in the city on Tuesday, amid reports of violence against senior citizens. Mr P. Shyam Kumar, advocacy officer of HelpAge India, said, “The app is a one-stop security measure for senior citizens. An SOS call made to the app will be directly answered by the helpline staff. It aims at helping elders in distress. In case of emergency, it connects them to local police, hospital and old age homes.”
