Most of the social media platforms seem to be ‘inspired’ by each other and are introducing similar features for users. And the latest app which is taking inspiration from WhatApp and Facebook is Instagram. The messages on Instagram will soon get a ‘last seen’ feature and the people one follows or the contacts the user has chatted with will soon be able to see the time when they were last online.
The Instagram user’s followers won’t be able to see the exact time they were using the app but only the people the user follows or has recently chatted with will be able to see the time one was present online. The only thing which can be termed as a flaw is when it doesn’t display when the user is online and indicate ‘active now’.
The option ‘show activity status’ is present in default inside of Instagram’s settings but if the activity status is disabled by the user, they won’t be able get anyone else’s information as well. Both Android and iOS users seem to have already started using this latest feature.
