Visakhapatnam: Now, a website that pays you for social networking, online posts
Visakhapatnam: What if a social networking site pays you for actively posting on the platform, sharing posts, uploading images, videos and inviting friends?
A Vizag-based startup, Parkpays founded by Ravi Kumar has stepped into the market with the same idea making it an exciting prospect for many active users of social networks,
“Why should founders of social networks grab all the revenue? Without users, websites will be nowhere and thriving on the same logic, I have developed the social network site-Parkpays which will ensure users get their pie of the profit made by the website. It’s a challenge, but not impossible as what I have explored after researching on the social networking sites for about four years,” said 30-year-old Ravi, who worked with several IT companies before venturing into the startup world.
The mobile apps of Parkpays are available on Google Playstore and for first sign up, the users get $2 bonus (value Rs 50 fixed) and for other activities, it has formulated a credit statistics in cents. The cents will be converted into credit points and the users can redeem them by buying gift products available on the site.
“People are comparing our site with the popular ones like Facebook. It does not have that many features at present, but we are sure of adding them every day. However, Parkpays has unique features what others don’t have is its verification and secured layers. The users have to upload any ID cards to join and female members need not be worried if anyone stalks them virtually as the users can know who are peeping into their profiles, checking posts and report to us in case of any problems of harassment,” he said.
When asked if any angel funding from investors his project has received so far, he said, “The deals have not worked so far due to various reasons like shares in the company in return of the investment. I know media helps a lot to reach out to people so I will focus it on that now,” he said.
He added that his wife, Devi, has given him extraordinary support in developing the project.
