Amaravati: A writer of Amaravati Capital Region brought Muslim freedom fighters of Indian freedom movement on fingertips. Historian and writer of Undavalli of Amaravati Capital Region, Syed Naseer Ahmed, provided Muslim freedom fighters application which gives thorough details about the Muslim fighters of Indian freedom movement on fingertips.
Mr Naseer wrote numerous books by conducting research about the participation of Muslims in the Indian freedom struggle. He said that many Muslims participated in the freedom struggle and sacrificed their lives but they did not get proper recognition. So, he tried to bring them into limelight through his books like “1957: Muslims”, “Indian freedom movement: Muslims”, “Indian freedom movement: Muslim women”, “Ind-ian freedom movement: Andhra Pradesh Mus-lims” and others.
He said that technology has been changing swiftly and the new generation wants the information on their fingertips.
So, the mobile application was developed which gives thorough information about the Muslim freedom fighters instantly. Mr Naseer said that a software engineer of Hyderabad, Syed Khalid Saifullah, developed the Android application which gives information offline once installed in the mobiles.
Mr Saifullah said, “Once my daughter stu-dying in Class III asked me to name a few freedom fighters and gave some names. But there were no Muslims and hardly remembered Mo-ulana Abul Kalam Azad, Ashfaqulla Khan and Tipu Sultan.”
“Later, I came to know about the contribution of Muslim freedom fighters and books written by Mr Naseer which information was used to develop the Android application.”
He mentioned the details of 155 Muslim freedom fighters with the photos and categorised them according to their professions like doctors, advocates, poets, singers, kings, judges and others. Mr Saifullah said that users can test their knowledge after reading about the concerned freedom fighters by testing the related quiz and the Android application can be downloaded from Google playstore.
