Consumer electronic show (CES) has been the playground for the big players to flaunt their latest devices. Just like the Mobile World Congress (MWC), CES provides a platform to the industry giants to unveil their consumer products. CES 2017 is expected to bring loads of gadgets, cars and TVs and innovations that are ready to blow our minds. Here’s what you should expect from the upcoming electronic show:
Microsoft
Microsoft plans to catch everyone’s attention by making announcements in the virtual reality segment. The company will release VR headsets with the Windows 10 Creators Update. The VR headsets will work with HoloTour, the software included with the HoloLens headset that virtually transports users to countries and places around the world.
Samsung
The Korean giant recently revealed details about the products it will showcase at CES, few online reports suggest that the company will be introducing new range of TVs and some home appliances. The company has already confirmed it will be introducing a new Ultra High Quality audio technology at the show and the first three products to make full use of it: the H7 wireless speaker, MS750 soundbar and M9500 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray player.
ASUS
ASUS has dubbed its press conference as ‘Zenovation’ and will be unveiling a new range of products which will fall under the Zen brand. The line-up will include laptops, smartphones and tablets.
LG
LG has already announced a new range of home appliances with deep learning, meaning the devices will learn user’s behaviours on a day to day basis and adapt their tasks automatically. A new robot vacuum cleaner, refrigerator, washing machine and air conditioner are planned, each with their own intelligent learning systems.
Sony
Sony could unveil its first OLED TVs at this year’s CES 2017. There are also rumours to suggest Sony will unveil a new 4K Xperia smartphone at the show. Sony also quietly introduced a 4K Blu-ray player prototype at IFA 2016, and then confirmed a model destined for the custom install market.
Dolby
Dolby will be introducing new products which are expected to be the latest innovations from Dolby's hardware partners. Dolby will be announcing developments to its Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision sound and screen technologies.
Panasonic
Panasonic will be launching a new model of the CZ950V OLED TV, launched at CES 2016. The company will also unveils some new cameras and also boast the DMP-UB900 4K Blu-ray player.
TCL
TCL, the third largest manufacturer in the world and will be showcasing its new range of TVs. The company's sets aren't sold here in the UK, but they're incredibly popular in America.
Volkswagen
Volkswagen will also focus its attention on electric vehicles and should unveil a new electrically powered van, alongside a new gesture-controlled infotainment system for the Golf hatchback.
