Instagram Introduces 15-Minute Edit Window for Comments
Update allows users to correct typos in comments shortly after posting, with edited labels visible but no view of original text

Meta-owned social media platform Instagram has introduced a new feature allowing users to edit their comments within 15 minutes of posting.
The update marks a shift for the platform, which has long allowed edits to posts but not to comments. Users can now correct typos or make minor changes by tapping a newly added “Edit” option after posting a comment.
Once edited, comments will display a small grey “edited” label to indicate changes have been made. However, the platform will not show the original version of the comment after it has been updated.
The feature, implemented by Instagram’s parent company Meta Platforms, is being seen as a small but useful improvement aimed at enhancing user experience and reducing errors in comment sections.
