Apple To Unveil Dedicated Password Manager App at WWDC

Hyderabad: Apple is set to unveil a dedicated password manager app at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), which will commence on June 10.

Bloomberg's Mark Gurman said, "Apple will introduce a new homegrown app next week called Passwords, aiming to make it easier for customers to log in to websites and software.”

He also said, quoting the sources inside Apple who asked not to be identified, the passwords app will be available in iPhone, iPad and MacBook with the iOS 18, iPadOS 18 and macOS 15 update.

The Passwords app is set to compete with the passwords manager apps. It will be available for free and it will come as part of the operating system.

The anticipated iOS 18 is set to be unveiled at WWDC. The upcoming update will come with AI features Apple's large language model (LLM) 'Ajax'. It is said that there will be a huge makeover in certain apps which includes Safari, Siri and others.

iOS 18 will also let users to change the colour of the app icons and also rearrange it anywhere on the grid.
