iPhone 16 Pro vs iPhone 15 Pro: What’s New and What’s Improved?
The iPhone 16 Pro was launched on September 9 at “Its Glowtime” event and there are significant changes made to the iPhone 16 Pro, compared to the iPhone 15 Pro.
Apple has increased the size of the displays, a major camera upgrade and more. Lets compare the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro.
Display
The earlier Pro and Pro Max iPhones used to come in 6.1—inch and 6.7-inch display sizes but this time Apple has increased the size of the Pro models to 6.3-inch (16 Pro) and 6.9-inch (16 Pro Max) displays.
The screen brightness and screen borders remain the same.
Design
iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro uses titanium frame and iPhone 16 Pro gets new four colour options - Black Titanium, White Titanium, Natural Titanium and Desert Titanium.
The other new feature in the iPhone 16 Pro is the camera control, which is available on all four iPhone models. You can switch to camera by just clicking the button. It can be used as a trackpad, zooming in and out to capture pictures.
Other features remain the same like both the iPhones get IP68 water and dust protection and USB-C port for charging.
Camera
Similar to the iPhone 15 Pro, the iPhone 16 Pro has three cameras and there are two big upgrades.
Firstly, a new 48MP sensor for ultra-wide camera and secondly, 5X telephoto camera up from 3X zoom on 15 Pro. There are no changes in the 48MP main camera.
Coming to the video, iPhone 15 Pro could only record video 120fps at 1080p but the iPhone 16 Pro will record videos 120fps at 4K quality.
Battery Life
There is big improvement in the battery life of the iPhone Pro. Apple says that iPhone 16 Pro gets 27 hours of video playback, compared to 20 hours on the iPhone 15 Pro. Wired charging remains the same at 20W for both the iPhones but the company increased the magsafe charging speed to 25W from 15W.
Verdict: The iPhone 16 Pro has better RAM, slight improvement battery life, better chipset and two buttons (Action Button and Dedicated Camera Button). The main thing you would miss out if you use iPhone 15 is Apple Intelligence.

iPhone 15 Pro and 16 Pro have the same 8GB RAM but the new Pro model gets a new chipset, Apple A18 Pro built on second-gen 3nm technology.
