Meta Releases Live AI, Live Translation, Shazam to its Smart Glasses

Live AI and live translations were first teased at Meta Connect 2024 earlier this year and both the features will be limited to members of Meta’s Early Access Program, while Shazam will be available to all users.

Live AI allows users to converse with Meta’s AI assistant while it views your surroundings. If a user is at a grocery store, then the person can ask the Meta AI to suggest any recipe based on the ingredients they are looking at. Users can use the Live AI feature for 30 minutes on a full charge.

Live translation lets the glasses translate speech between English and Spanish, French or Italian. You can download the transcripts on your phone and the language should be downloaded beforehand.

Shazam will let you know what song you are listening to. All you need to do is to prompt the Meta AI when you hear the song.

2024 has been the year of smart glasses with Big Tech introducing new features to it. Google recently announced Android XR for smart glasses with Gemini AI assistant.
