Lenovo Z5 teased ahead of launch
Over the past few days there have, several smartphone manufacturers have been launching their products and the most recent being the Lenovo-owned Motorola Moto G6 and G6 Play in India. Now, Lenovo has taken to Chinese micro-blogging site Weibo to tease their flagship handset, the Z5.
From the teaser image, we can see some of the design cues featured here. The Lenovo Z5 has a metallic frame and front and back panels made of glass. Apart from this, we can gather that there will be a dual rear camera system that’s placed vertically in the corner.
There has been a lot of speculation as to what some of the features of the Lenovo Z5 would contain. In a related report, which has acquired the benchmarks of the Lenovo Z5, we see that it will come equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor and run Android 8.1 Oreo. Prior to this leaked benchmark, there was a lot of talks that suggested that the Lenovo Z5 would come with a Snapdragon 845 processor. However, this doesn’t seem to be the case even though it is being marketed as a flagship device.
From the benchmark, we can see that the handset has registered a score of 1,332 points in the Geekbench’s single-core CPU test. While in the multi-core CPU test, the Z5 scored 4,696 points. This handset looks like its being powered by an octa-core 1.6GHz CPU that is paired with a 6GB RAM.
It was widely believed that the Lenovo would be the handset with the widest screen-to-body ratio. However, as we approach the launch date, images are surfacing online that backtrack on these rumours.
As of now, nothing is set in stone and all will be known once Lenovo finally takes the wraps off the Z5.
