Google has just announced the release of Beta 3 of Android P (Developer Preview 4) and with it come a host of bug fixes and stability tweaks.
As reported by TechCrunch, the Android P Beta 3 comes a month after Beta 2 and this is said to be the last major beta update the company is sending out till the stable version of the operating system is due out for the rest of the world later this year. The report notes that there shouldn’t be too many major visible changes this time around as Google had brought a number of those with Beta 2.
Android VP of Engineering Dave Burke says in a blog post tied to the announcement said, “With the developer APIs already finalized in the previous update, Beta 3 now takes us very close to what you’ll see in the final version of Android P.”
The major updates with Beta 3 are finalised APIs which allow developers to start testing and building apps for Android P. The system tools comes with multi-camera support, enhanced notifications, display cut-outs and ImageDecoder.
The report goes on to state that the update is available for developers with access to a Pixel smartphone. Those who are already on Beta 2 will get the update automatically.
