New iPhone design exposed which spells more bad news for Apple
Apple is gearing up for one of its best years in recent history and its 2020 plans have no boundaries. Apple is tipped to launch up to seven new iPhones this year and if the leaks are anything to go by, then this should be the biggest generational leap in years. However, Apple being the major company that they are, they aren’t too shaded from leaks. And now, the design of one of the brand’s upcoming devices has recently leaked which indicates that we could be disappointed once more.
After leaking the iPhone 12, reputed tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer aka @OnLeaks has partnered with iGeeksBlog to spill what in all probability be Apple’s highest-selling iPhone of the year — the much anticipated iPhone SE2 which is also being dubbed as the iPhone 9. And the design for its part looks quite underwhelming.
What @OnLeaks has put together is a handset that looks completely identical to the iPhone 6, 6S, 7 and 8. This indicates that the same 4.7-inch display that features a thick top and bottom bezel with a physical Touch ID sensor will be back once more. While most of the external elements of the handset remain the same, the only difference will be in the size with the iPhone SE2 being slightly bigger and thicker.
There’s not all bad news though as Hemmerstoffer states that the thicker chassis will house a much larger battery to be on par with the recently launched iPhone 11 line-up. Interestingly, the handset will also come with a frosted glass back that’s similar to what’s seen on the iPhone 11 Pro which means that even though it has a dated design, it will still feature some modern elements. The iPhone SE2 will also be capable of wireless charging and the primary camera on the rear is expected to feature the same specs as the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max.
Also, the handset will come with Apple’s A13 chipset which when paired with a smaller, lower-resolution display will make it a speedy customer.
