Six-core iPhone X's power button will authenticate payments: Reports
It is only a matter of few hours before the next major iPhone evolution breaks cover and some last minute leaks are creeping up from all over the web, such as this one from 9to5Mac that claims the new iPhone to use its power button as a major security layer.
The report mentions that the iPhone X’s power button will be used in addition to verification methods for necessary activities. Apart from the FaceID doing its trickery, the iPhone X is believed to require the user press the power button two times in succession to authenticate online payments through Apple Pay, mentions the report.
Apart from the power button, the iPhone X’s brain will now have a six-core processor. The iPhone X is expected to be built on Apple’s yet-to-be-unveiled A11 hexa core chip, in which four cores, called the Monsoon cores, will handle all the computing in casual tasks with low power consumption and two high power Mistral cores will be dedicated to resource intensive tasks such as gaming and video processing.
All of these are still rumours and all will be known tomorrow when Apple unveils the new iPhone models tomorrow. The world of tech is expecting three distinct iPhone models to take stage at Steve Jobs Theatre in San Jose, wherein the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus models are expected to be upgrades of last year’s iPhone 7 duo while the iPhone X will be the all new model with a thin-bezel display and unseen smartphone features.
