Leaked 2019 iPhone 11 points to something extraordinary
The iPhone 11 is just a few weeks away from being official and while we thought that the writing was on the wall with the naming and the features; a mysterious Twitter account with an exceptional track record has now disrupted everything we thought we knew about the upcoming flagships.
With the iPhone launch fast approaching, there has been a notable increase in iPhone related rumours. A new leak claims that Apple will be tweaking its naming scheme for the 2019 line-up; however, is it all that it seems? Probably not.
AS of now, there is no doubt that Apple will be adding a triple camera setup on the iPhone 11 OLED display smartphones and this will alter the rear of the device quite considerably. With that said a tweet from CoinX claims that Apple’s flagship smartphone will use the “Pro” branding in its name.
With the iPhone XS lineup, the top-of-the-line iPhone came with the Max branding. There was wide speculation that Apple would use the same title for its 2019 line-up. As after just a year, dropping the “Max” name is uncharacteristic. This leads us to speculate that Apple could be launching a fourth handset that will come with the “Pro” moniker and it could be separate from the regular iPhone 11 line-up. This could be the 2019 version of Apple’s “One more thing…” moment where they announce an iPhone Pro. This will be a great callback to Apple of old where Steve Jobs had a surprise in store for Apple’s audience. The iPhone Pro could be a direct competitor to Apple’s Android rivals who are marching full speed ahead with their breakthrough technology. This handset could feature major upgrades and then some more.
However, this is all speculation and Apple could just be rebranding the Apple iPhone 11 Max as iPhone 11 Pro to fit the tune of its other products like the iPad Pro and MacBook Pro.
Although we hope Apple has a surprise for us, there are a few details that are already available that point to the contrary. The iPhone 11 is said to be the direct successor to the iPhone XS and will feature a 5.8-inch OLED display. The iPhone 11 Max (or Pro) is expected to feature a 6.5-inch display and borrow traits from the iPhone XS Max. There will be a 6.1-inch iPhone 11R that’s a successor to the iPhone XR and it will feature an LCD display.
