In India, Apple iPhone 11 preorders go ‘out of stock’
The Apple iPhone 11 series went on preorder in India and the demand for the new handsets have been so good that several online portals are showing that they have gone out of stock. As per a report by Money Control, demand for the iPhone 11 was so high that the low-cost variant has seen unprecedented sales figures.
The report claims that the iPhone 11 which went up for preorder on September 20 now shows that it is unavailable on Flipkart as well as Amazon India. The higher-end iPhone 11 Pro is also reportedly unavailable for preorder on both of the country’s popular e-commerce websites.
The iPhone 11 line-up went up for preorders on September 20 with the iPhone 11 coming with a starting price of Rs 64,900 for the 64GB option. Sales in India will start on September 27 and at the time of writing, all of the iPhone 11 storage tiers appear to be out of stock. A few of the higher-end iPhone 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max appear to be available for preorder but it can get sold out at any time due to the rising demand of the handsets.
The strong demand for the iPhone 11 was foreseen when Apple priced the handset aggressively and also introduced launch offers such as cashback of up to Rs 7,000 on all three models when bought using HDFC bank cards. With these credit cards from HDFC, you get an instant discount of Rs 6,000 on purchase of the handsets. Additionally, this discount also extends on EMI purchases.
The higher-end iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max is also available under an instant discount of Rs 7,000. This means that the iPhone 11 which is priced at Rs 99,900 can be purchased for as low as Rs 92,900 for the 64GB option. Additionally, the iPhone 11 Pro Max will be available for as less as Rs 1,02,900 after the discount.
