Huawei Mate 20 Pro with Sennheiser headset launched for Rs 71,990

The Mate 20 Pro comes with a triple-camera set-up and sports Huawei's flagship SoC Kirin 980.

After a long wait, the Huawei Mate 20 Pro has been officially launched in India and will sell for Rs 69,990. This triple-camera smartphone will be sold as an Amazon exclusive on our shores and with it come some interesting launch offers, making it a tantalising option. A Sennheiser PXC 550 headset comes bundled with the smartphone with a special price tag of Rs 71,990 for early bird customers, which is 2K more than the original price of the device. Additionally, the Sennheiser PXC 550 is individually available for Rs 29,990. The Mate 20 pro will be available across Croma stores in key metro cities starting December 10, 2018.

The Huawei Mate 20 Pro is powered by Huawei’s flagship chip Kirin 980, which is manufactured with the 7nm process. It features Cortex-A76-based CPUs and a Mali-G76 GPU that promises to offer improved performance and a butter smooth user experience.

The Mate 20 Pro runs on Huawei’s own EMUI 9.0 operating system which is based on Android Pie. It comes with AI self-learning algorithms, an integrated and resource allocation system and an optimised Android environment that promises to remain smooth even through extended use. The camera is said to be better than before as it sports a new Leica Ultra Wide Angle Lens that lets users see wider and closer with its new macro distance capability.

The device will have a 6.39-inch 2K OLED display and the SoC will be paired with 6GB of RAM alongside 128GB storage. The Mate 20 Pro sports three cameras on the rear (40MP+20MP+8MP) and a single 24MP camera on the front. It will also be sporting an IP68 certification to prevent it from dust and water.

The Mate 20 Pro is fuelled by a 4200mAh battery and supports the TUV Safety Certified 40W Huawei SuperCharge technology. This fast charging technology can charge the device up to 70 per cent in around 30 minutes. The Mate also supports 15W Huawei Quick Wireless charge and reverse charging, which is the first in the industry. This feature allows the phone to charge wirelessly, as well as charge another wireless-compatible phone using reverse charge.

The device is also the world’s first smartphone to support the 4.5G LTE Cat. 21 standard that allows consumers to experience download speeds of up to 1.4Gbps. Additionally, it also supports the world’s fastest Wi-Fi connection speeds. Huawei claims that a 2GB footage will require just 10 seconds to download. Lastly, the flagship also supports dual-band (L1+L5) GPS positioning technology. The AI GPS Satellite Selection technology helps enhance the positioning accuracy across a wide range of scenarios.
