A massive 5.8-inch iPhone on its way
There is a possibility that the new iPhone might include the edges considering the curve display the smartphone is expected to boast.

Ever since the iPhone grew so popular, it became nearly impossible to contain all the leaks from surfacing. The latest being the release of a new iPhone with a massive 5.8-inch display.
DigiTimes has confirmed that ‘Apple will launch 4.7-, 5.5- and 5.8-inch new iPhone models in second-half 2017, with TFT-LCD panels to be used in the former two models and AMOLED for the 5.8-inch one...Global shipments of the AMOLED iPhone in 2017 are estimated at 60-70 million units,’
The report also claims that Samsung will be the the exclusive manufacturer of OLED panels used in the enlarged iPhone, supplying up to 20 million panels a month.
Apple jumping to a 5.8-inch display comes as a surprise, since the company has mocked larger phones in the past. Especially when its rivals like Google, Samsung and LG have all downsized to 5.5-inch panels in their premium smartphones. There is a possibility that the new iPhone might include the edges considering the curve display the smartphone is expected to boast.
There are also reports claiming the company will be launching a 5-inch model featuring a vertical dual-camera system, as compared to the horizontal one that is available on the iPhone 7 Plus. With the new device Apple may be planning to provide potential customers with a choice between the existing 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch options.
Since the technology giant finalises iPhone designs six months before their September launch, a lot of changes can be expected. The iPhone is expected to undergo a huge design overhaul after three generations of incremental design tweaks.
