Polling booth vandalized in Maharashtra's Parli
In Maharashtra’s Parli Assembly constituency on Wednesday, tensions rose on election day as a polling booth was vandalised, and an NCP worker was attacked.
The disruption took place in Ghatnandur, where a group damaged an EVM and caused chaos. The Beed District Collector, Avinash Pathak, confirmed that the malfunctioning machines were replaced.
NCP candidate Rajesaheb Deshmukh alleged that the local administration had allowed irregularities, including disabling CCTV cameras and preventing minority voters from casting their ballots. The incident highlights ongoing political tensions during the Maharashtra assembly elections.
