Pushkar Camel Fair 2024 Begins: A Cultural Extravaganza

The Pushkar Camel Fair, also known as Pushkar Mela, is an annual cultural festival in Rajasthan.
Originally a cattle trade fair, it now features camel trading, cultural events, and local competitions.
The fair is held in Pushkar during the month of Kartik (October-November), attracting over 200,000 visitors.
More than 30,000 camels are traded, making it one of the world's largest camel trade fairs.
The event includes folk music, dance performances, games, sports competitions, and unique contests.
On Kartik Purnima, pilgrims gather to take a holy dip in Pushkar Lake for spiritual cleansing.
