Hyderabad: Bollywood actress Nargis Fakhri's sister, Aliya Fakhri, was arrested in the US for allegedly murdering her ex-boyfriend, Edward Jacobs, and his friend, Anastasia Ettienne.
Aliya, a New York resident, had ended her relationship with Jacobs a year prior. On November 2nd, she allegedly set fire to the garage where the couple was staying, causing their deaths by smoke inhalation and thermal injuries.
Local residents alerted authorities, but the fire had already claimed their lives. After gathering evidence, Aliya was arrested and is currently detained without bail. Her next court appearance is scheduled for December 9th. If convicted of the most serious charge, she could face life imprisonment.
